AIMS

  1. To understand modern concepts of periodontal disease aetiology
  2. To appreciate how to assess and diagnose periodontal diseases effectively
  3. To understand the role of self care in periodontal management
  4. To appreciate different instrumentation techniques
  5. To understand the role of antimicrobials in disease control

OBJECTIVES

  1. Discuss prognosis of periodontally-involved teeth rationally with patients
  2. Screen and assess periodontal patients effectively
  3. Assess periodontal patients in detail to arrive at the right diagnosis
  4. Instruct and motivate patients in self-care
  5. Perform non-surgical therapy efficiently in a way that is applicable to general practice

AIMS

The aim of these lectures is to give members of the dental team a better understanding of the presentation and management of traumatic dental injuries.

OBJECTIVES
By the end of the lectures the participants will

  1. Manage acute dental trauma with more confidence
  2. Understand the importance of a-traumatic techniques
  3. Understand the need for good communication in the consent process
  4. Improve their treatment planning for traumatised teeth
