Local Assessment of MJDF Coursework
Information for Candidates

To get your coursework assessed

If you are on the 2008-9 MJDF course you will have been issued with an assessment request form.  If you have attended one of our previous MFGDP or MJDF courses you may buy one from the Division for a fee of £233.  Please contact the assessment coordinator, Lauren Wardle.

Wait until the whole of your coursework is completed.

Choose an assessor from the list on the right of this page, contact them by e-mail and ask if they are willing to accept your coursework.

The assessor may not accept your coursework if, for example, they already have several to do.  If so try another one from the list.  If you still have problems please contact the assessment coordinator.

Send your coursework to the assessor with your assessment request form.  You will be responsible for postage and packing for the return so please use reusable packaging and send a stamped addressed label for the return. If the assessor is near you then you could also make your own arrangements for delivery and pick up.

We have asked our assessors to return your coursework to you within 3 weeks.  If you are successful you will receive all the paperwork you need to send to the Faculty examinations office.

The assessor may ask for minor amendments.  An example might be missing documentation for dental radiology or an expanded  reflective commentary.  The assessor will ask you to make these amendments and send the appropriate evidence.  There is no further fee for this.

It is possible that a major rewrite is necessary.  In these circumstances there will be a further fee of £30 per piece of coursework.  You will receive a letter to explain what you have to do next.
