The North Western Division FGDP(UK)

The North Western Division is the local arm of the Faculty of General Dental Practice (UK) of the Royal College of Suregons of England. The North Western Divisional Board meets some 4 times year at MANDEC, Manchester. With Divisional Director Sunil Panchmatia now at the helm, the Division organises local activities such as the MJDF course, an annual study day and hands on courses.

In line with modern dental practice the Faculty is inclusive of Dental Care Professionals. The Divisional Board is pleased to say that DCPs are represented by Christine Cotton, tutor hygienist on the Manchester Dental Therapy course.

National Representation
The Division is represented on the National Faculty Board by elected member Professor Paul Brunton. Other members such as the MJDF tutors and the Divisional Director also represent our Division at meetings nationally. We are pleased to report that our former Director Ian Wood is presently Vice-Dean of the Faculty and a Divisional representative.
